The program of culture-targeted study tours and that of sightseeing study tours are dif-ferent in their educational targets and their promoting roles in overseas Chinese language teaching.This article discusses the value and significance of culture-targeted study tours in constructing an in-ternational Chinese-language education community,constructs a theoretical framework and practical approach for the"3PBL+1"of culture-targeted study tours by following the educational concepts of"interdisciplinary teaching"and"problem-based,place-based and project-based interdisciplinary learning".Using the specific cases of British and American group study tours in China in 2023,the ar-ticle analyzes the implementation and effects of such programs and explores the models of culture-targeted study tours constructed by an international Chinese-language education community,which aims at the formation of a favorable ecology for an international Chinese-language education commu-nity and high-quality exchanges and cooperation between Chinese culture and Western culture.
