The article for the first time constructs an"Indicator System for the Measurement of the Nonverbal Classroom Behaviors of International Chinese-language Teachers",which subdivides the nonverbal classroom behaviors of international Chinese-language teachers into six major categories:kinesics,paralanguage,language of appearance and dress,instrumental language,spatial language and temporal language.There are 27 primary indicators and 86 secondary indicators,which have 29 functions,accompanied by 6 independent observation scales and instructions for use.Summarizing the research findings over a decade,the article gives some research examples of the quantitative indicators of kinesics and paralanguage of the individual teachers,some comparative research examples of the quantitative group indicators of kinesics of the novice and experienced teachers,and some research ex-amples of three groups of students from different countries on the teachers'language of appearance and dress,which provides some scientific,standardized,convenient and practical research tools and samples for a comprehensive analysis of the nonverbal classroom behaviors of international Chinese-language teachers.
