Starting from the current education system in Spain,this article describes the growth and development of Chinese language education in the context of the Spanish primary and secondary schools and higher education system,the characteristics of Chinese courses offered in the three under-graduate majors of Spanish public universities,and the textbooks used.With the help of the detailed data obtained from the field surveys,the article analyzes the status of Chinese language education in Spain,the teaching staff,the localization of teaching materials in the AI era,and the major challenges faced.It proposes the future development orientation of Chinese language education in Spain and the countermeasures that need to be formulated to meet a series of challenges.
