A study of the degree of thematic integration of the subway public art and the urban tourism image in Shanghai
The method of content analysis is used to compare the themes of the subway public art of Shanghai with those of the urban tourism image which is represented by the perceptual map based on web texts.Data are collected from weibo,on-spot investigations and interviews.The triangle test is applied as the validity test of qualitative research.The research concludes that the downtown area of Shanghai has a high degree of thematic integration of the subway public art and the urban tourism im-age,which finds expression in those subway stops,while other areas are weak in this aspect.Thus, the spatial feature of the promotion of the urban tourism image in Shanghai finds expression in the concentration in the downtown area,typically in line with the distribution model of tourism resources of Shanghai,which leads to the poor effects of the construction and transmission of the tourism image in the suburbs of Shanghai.
