Since the launch of the pilot program for cross-border RMB settlement in 2009,China's cross-border RMB settlement has steadily developed,with significant differences among the 31 prov-inces and cities in the mainland of China.Based on the existing research,this article empirically analy-zes the impacts of the industrial development level,the financial resource endowment,and the region-al policies on cross-border RMB settlement,which aims to enrich and improve the research on the in-fluencing factors of cross-border RMB settlement.Based on the theory of cross-border settlement cur-rency,the TOPSIS method is used to measure and evaluate the development potential of cross-border RMB settlement in the 31 provinces and cities in the mainland of China.Based on the measurement results,the overall spatial development plan and provincial functional orientation of the polarized de-velopment zone,the supporting development zone and the potential development zone for cross-border RMB settlement are proposed,and suggestions for the implementation approaches are put forward.
