Multidimensional Challenges and New Approaches in China's International Communication towards South Asia and Southeast Asia in the Context of Digital China
The construction of Digital China is shaping a fully digitalized,networked,and intelligent all-media communication scenario,which will have profound impacts on the structure,content and channels of international communication.After the improvement of the backward multi-media facili-ties,Yunnan of China,an internationally important passageway to South Asia and Southeast Asia,faces multidimensional challenges in the process of transformation from a"remote frontier"to an"open frontier".These challenges include intensified competition among communication platforms due to digital technologies,the deep transformation of digitalization triggering a reconstruction of the communication ecosystem,and digital media events intensifying international public opinion clashes.To address these challenges,there is an urgent need to comprehensively construct an international communication discourse system and to create new approaches to identification that adapt to the new situations.It concludes that four key approaches are critical to integrating such communication into the global platform ecosystem and enhancing China's international communication influence:impro-ving the efficiency of precise communication through leveraging big data and artificial intelligence;building a digital narrative system through transformation from media-centric thinking to platform-o-riented thinking;establishing a regional community with a shared destiny through the integration of discourse construction and platform-based dissemination;achieving all-media synergy to create a re-gional communication system with international features.
