Tell Chinese Democracy Stories Well:Methods and Contents of International Communication of"China's Whole-process People's Democracy"
The profound changes unseen in the past century have provided new historical opportunities for the rise of Chinese discourse.A key step in constructing the discourse power of Chinese political civilization is to promote the international communication of"China's whole-process people's democracy",a political discourse originating in China.Currently,there is a long-standing binary opposition between Chinese and Western ideologies,Western monopoly on the definition and interpretation of democracy,and an imbalance of international public opinion between the West and the East.Therefore,constructing a discourse system and narrative system for the international communication of"China's whole-process people's democracy"is a crucial prerequisite for realizing the independent demands of"China's whole-process people's democracy".From the perspectives of narratology and macro-history,this paper proposes constructing the story system of"China's whole-process people's democracy"in four dimensions:ancient Chinese traditional people-oriented story,the story of the spread and development of democracy in contemporary China,the modern Chinese democratic civilization construction story,and the story of China promoting democratization of international relations.It aims at promoting the genuine global advancement of the concept"China's whole-process people's democracy"worldwide.
