From Language to Image:Metaphorical Expression in Contemporary Visual Communication Design
Visual communication design aims to convey concepts,emotions and ideas through words and images.Metaphor is an important tool for conveying concepts and emotions through simile and association,and it has certain universality in design,show-ing a coherent visual system and corresponding metaphorical expression,creating design works with rich layers and depth,and es-tablishing a stronger inner connection with the audience.Through theoretical analysis and case studies,this paper focuses on the key role of image metaphor in the formation of concept,the interaction between the two and the principles of construction.This pa-per also analyzes the importance of metaphorical expression in contemporary visual communication design through case studies and theoretical analysis.
