Examination of the Origin of Perspective in the Qing Dynasty
The perspective in the Qing Dynasty is an important example of the exchange between Chinese and Western art.This ar-ticle explores the development of focal perspective in the"Eastward Movement of the West",and the process of conflict and inte-gration between focal perspective and traditional Chinese painting method of diffuse perspective.The study of Nian Xiyao's works on perspective and Qing Dynasty paintings reveals that the study of perspective in the Qing Dynasty was characterized by the fusion of East and West in the theory and creation of art.Through a comprehensive analysis of historical documents,paintings and art criti-cism,this paper identifies and traces the unique position and far-reaching influence of the study of perspective of the Qing Dynas-ty in Chinese art history.
