Observation on the application efficacy of leadless pacemaker
Objective To summarize the application experience of eight cases and analyze the safety and effectiveness of permanent leadless pacemaker in clinical practice. Methods The disease characteristics, treatment course, treatment effect, life quality score and complications of eight patients with Micra pacemaker implanted in Qujing First People's Hospital from October 2021 to April 2023 were collected. The patients were followed up one month after discharge. Results Among the eight patients, there were seven males and one female, with an average age of 81.25±10.3 years. All of them met the indications of permanent Micra leadless cardiac pacing because for chronic arrhythmia. All eight patients were successfully implanted with Medtronic Micra series leadless pacemaker. The average operation time was 50.00±14.19min,the average exposure time was 5.00±1.42min,and the average intraoperative pacemaker threshold was 0.66±0.29V@0.24ms.The average perceived right ventricular wave amplitude was 14.78±12.31 mV,and the average pacing impedance was 893.75±324.69Ω.There were no serious complications except one case of delayed wound healing in the groin area(0%).The pacing threshold, sensing function and pacing impedance of the eight patients were all good and stable at one month follow-up after surgery, and the quality of life scores of the patients were improved compared with those before surgery. Conclusions Leadless permanent pacemaker provides a more efficient, safe, simple, quick and minimally invasive pacing treatment option for some patients with chronic arrhythmia.
