Analysis of routine and biochemical testing results of female vaginal secretions in Qujing area
Objective To explore the clinical value of routine combined with five biochemical tests of vaginal secretions. Methods The routine and biochemical testing results of vaginal secretions from 48,107 gynecological outpatients in the First People's Hospital of Qujing from September 2019 and December 2022 were collected, and analyzed current status and influencing factors of female vaginal microecosystem in this area. Results Among the 48107 samples of vaginal secretions,43.25%were normal cleanliness(Ⅰ-Ⅱ degree)while 56.75%showed abnormal cleanliness(Ⅲ-Ⅳ degree). The trichomonas were detected in 971 cases(2.02%),fungi were detected in 4401 cases(9.15%)and clue cells were detected in 3120 cases(6.49%).Trichomonas and fungi were detected concurrently in 11 cases, while trichomonas and clue cells were detected simultaneously in 62 cases. Both fungi and clue cells were detected in 242 cases. There were statistical significance in trichomonas, fungi, clue cells, white blood cells, vaginal bacilli, vaginal bacillus, cocci, epithelial cells and cleanliness among different age groups(P<0.05).The detection rates of fungi and clue cells in different seasons also had statistical significance(P<0.05),there was no significant difference in the detection rate of trichomonas(P>0.05).The positive rates of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2),sialidase(SNa),leukocyte esterase(LE),β-glucuronidase(GUS)and coagulase(GADP)were 76.08%,11.19%,42.24%,0.80%and 31.57%,respectively.There were statistical significance in five biochemical indicators of different cleanliness(P<0.05).Conclusions The pathogen detection rate of female vaginal secretions in Qujing area is high.Routine combined biochemical testing can enhance the accuracy of vaginitis diagnosis, and strengthen health guidance and monitoring of reproductive tract infection for women, particularly young or perimenopausal women.
