Analysis on the screening results and related factors of 18608 students in Qilin District of Qujing
Objective To investigate the current situation,distribution characteristics and influencing factors of myopia among children and adolescents in Qylin District,Qujing City.Methods Individual visual health records were established by using cluster,multi-stage random sampling and non-cycloplegic visual acuity screening and computer optometry for patients with abnormal visual acuity.The differences among subgroups were compared.Results Among the 18,608 students sampled in 2020,11688(62.82%)were found to have abnormal vision,including 11277(60.61%)myopia.The detection rate of myopia was sorted into 15~18 years old(90.32%),13~15 years old(71.26%),7~12 years old(31.99%),5~6 years old(17.22%)(all P<0.01).The order of myopia degree was moderate myopia(45.12%),high myopia(30.81%)and mild myopia(24.07%)(all P<0.01).Conclusions The prevalence of myopia in children and adolescents in Qilin District of Qujing City is higher than the national average,especially in high school students.It is urgent to take multiple measures to implement early screening,early prevention,early detection,early diagnosis and early treatment.
