Analysis on quality of life in patients with first diagnosis of depression with different course and gender
Objective To explore the status quo and differences of quality of life in patients with first diagnosis of depression with different course of disease and different gender,so as to provide evidence support for the formulation of differentiated intervention programs to improve quality of life for patients with depression.Methods Patients with depression who first visited the Clinical Psychology Department of Yuxi People's Hospital from September 2020 to March 2022 were selected as the study objects,and divided into different groups according to the disease course and gender,and were included in the study in a sequential way.Hamilton Depression Scale(HDMD-24)and WHOQOL-BREF scale were used to study the depression status and quality of life of depressive patients in each group.Results There were significant differences in the quality of life scores of depression patients in different disease course groups in the total score,psychological field,social relation field and environmental field(P<0.05).There were significant differences in the life quality scores of depression patients of different genders in the total score,field of physiology and social relation(P<0.05).Conclusions Among first diagnosed patients with depression,long-course patients have worse quality of life in social and environmental fields.The overall quality of life,social relations and physiological quality of life of female patients are worse than that of male patients.Therefore,differentiated intervention plans need to be developed.
