Analysis of latent tuberculosis infection and its influencing factors in an organization in Yunnan Province
Objective To understand the infection status and influencing factors of latent tuberculosis infection(LTBI)in drug users,so as to provide basis for the formulation of tuberculosis prevention and control strategy. Methods Tuberculin skin test(TST)was screened in 289 drug users. The average diameter of induration ≥ 5 mm or the local double ring, blisters, necrosis and lymphangitis were TST-positive.Gender,age,ethnicity,education level, drug use type, drug use pattern, drug use duration, history of AIDS,diabetes, viral hepatitis, respiratory diseases, coronary heart disease, hypertension and TB exposure were independent variables, and the occurrence of LTBI was dependent variable, binary logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of LTBI.Results Among the 289 drug users,119 were LTBI,with an infection rate of 41.2%.Multivariate analysis showed that people with mixed drug use and hypertension were more prone to LTBI.Conclusions The infection rate of LTBI in drug users is higher,so we should pay more attention to the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis for the patients abstained from drugs, and take preventive treatment if necessary.
