Application of video surveillance combined with fluorescent labeling in the prevention of contact transmission of multi-drug resistant organism
Objective To explore the application value of video surveillance combined with fluorescent labeling in preventing contact transmission of multi-drug resistant organism(MDRO).Methods Medical staff and patients in ICU of the hospital from May 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the control group,and medical staff and patients in ICU from May 2023 to May 2024 were selected as the observation group.The control group was managed by the conventional methods for MDRO nosocomial infection,and the observation group was managed by the method of video surveillance combined with fluorescent labeling on the basis of the conventional method.The quality of environmental cleaning and disinfection and the quality of hand hygiene implementation in the two groups were compared and analyzed.Results The detection rate of multi-drug-resistant organism(MDRO)in patients in the observation group after intervention was significantly lower than that in the control group,and the differences were all statistically significant(P<0.05),while the clearance rate of fluorescent markers on the surface of objects,the compliance rate of various types of medical personnel's hand hygiene,and the correct rate of hand hygiene were higher than those in the control group,and the compliance rate and correct rate of nurses,interns and workmen were significantly higher than those in the control group,and the differences were all statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions The use of video surveillance combined with fluorescent marker inspection method can improve the quality of cleaning and disinfection in the ward environment and the standardization of hand hygiene,which has a significant effect in the quality control of multi-drug-resistant organism(MDRO)contact transmission prophylaxis,and can be promoted in clinical practice.
