Prevalence characteristics and screening interventions of diabetes combined with latent mycobacterium tuberculosis infection
LTBI has a 5%to 15%risk of progressing to active TB and is one of the reasons why TB disease is difficult to control.Diabetic patients are susceptible to MTB and are also risk factors for LTBI.Currently, the level of co-morbidity in China is higher than that in the world, and the co-morbidity rate is on the rise, but there is still a lack of large-scale screening and related intervention measures for LTBI in diabetic patients. As a result, the co-occurrence of the two diseases has brought great challenges for the prevention and control of the TB epidemic in China. Therefore, this paper will review the prevalence, risk factors and early screening and intervention methods of diabetes mellitus and LTBI,in order to provide reference for the prevention and control of TB.
