Cardiac damage is one of the common complications in the progression of chronic kidney disease.A large number of studies have shown that mitochondrial autophagy can interfere with the course of cardiac damage in chronic kidney disease.Mitochondrial autophagy is an important target and research topic for regulating heart damage in chronic kidney disease.In patients with chronic kidney disease,the metabolism of toxins in the body is abnormal,and the heart and kidney organs are rich in mitochondria.In the late stage of chronic kidney disease,uremia toxin ac-cumulation,mitochondrial apoptosis and a large number of harmful substances released by damaged mitochondria are similar to the process of endotoxin in traditional Chinese medicine.This paper discusses the relationship between chro-nic kidney disease,mitochondrial autophagy and turbid-toxin,the turbid-toxin theory of chronic kidney disease com-plicated with heart damage,the connection between turbid-toxin,mitochondrial autophagy and heart damage,the for-mation of turbid-toxin,mitochondrial autophagy and chronic kidney disease complicated with heart damage as well as the mitochondrial autophagy intervention of TCM turbid-toxin theory in the treatment of chronic kidney disease and heart damage.
