A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Acupuncture in the Treatment of Central Pain after Stroke
Objective:To systematically evaluate the effect of acupuncture in the treatment of central pain after stroke. Methods:All randomized controlled clinical trials of acupuncture in the treatment of central pain after stroke were searched from CNKI,Wanfang,VIP and PubMed databases from the database establishment to December 2022.After rig-orous screening and data extraction were made and the risk of bias in included studies were evaluated,a meta-analysis was performed by using Rev Man5.4 software.Results:12 literature with 1076 cases were included. The total effective rate of 8 articles was evaluated, and the results showed that OR=3.17,95%CI(2.16,4.64),Z=5.92(P<0.0001).The visual analogue score(VAS)in 10 articles was used as the outcome index, and the results showed that MD=-1.18,95%CI(-1.53,-0.83),Z=6.58(P<0.00001).In 4 articles,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used as the outcome index, and the results showed that MD=-2.63,95%CI(-3.16,-2.10),Z=9.73(P<0.00001).In two ar-ticles,the modified Bankin Scale(MRS)was used as the outcome index, and the results showed that MD=-0.60,95%CI(-0.78,-0.41),Z=6.93(P<0.00001).Conclusion:Acupuncture treatment of central pain after stroke can effec-tively relieve pain, improve sleep quality and promote the recovery of injured nerve function.
