Study on the Changes of Hormone Metabolism in Patients with Kidney-Yang Deficiency Syndrome Based on Metabolomics
Objective:To study the difference of urine metabolite levels between patients with kidney-yang defi-ciency syndrome and placid people and analyze the changes of hormones to explore valuable biomarkers for kidney-yang deficiency syndrome. Methods:The urine of 8 patients with kidney-yang deficiency and 4 placid people were included for UPLC metabolomics analysis.By PCA and PLS-DA analysis, metabolites with significant differences were screened out and analyzed in combination with metabolic pathways. Results:Compared with those of the control group, the levels of 11-β-hydroxy-androstane-3-glucuronic acid,trihydroxy-progesterone,18-hydroxycorti-sol,aldosterone 18-glucuronic acid and 4-hydroxy-androstenedione glucuronic acid in the urine of the experimen-tal groups were significantly increased, and androsterone sulfate,cholanolone,16-dehydroprogesterone,5b-preg-nanediol,fluhydrocortisone,estrone and 5a-dihydrotestosterone decreased significantly. Conclusion:This study fur-ther proves that kidney-yang deficiency syndrome can lead to the metabolic disorder of various hormones, reduce the energy metabolism of amino acids and fatty acids, and is related to cell endocytosis and entrainment by circadian rhythm.
