Observation on the Curative Effect of Meridian Pricking Blood Cupping and Acupuncture on Lumbar Disc Herniation with Pain
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of meridian pricking blood cupping combined with acupunc-ture in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation with pain.Methods:80 patients with lumbar disc herniation meeting the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into control group and observation group,40 cases each group.The control group was treated with acupuncture and the observation group was treated with blood cupping and acupuncture through meridians.Japanese Orthopaedic Association Evaluation Treatment Score(JOA)score,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score,Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)score and clinical effect of the two groups were compared and analyzed before and after treatment.Results:After treatment,the JOA,VAS and ODI scores in the two groups were significantly im-proved compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the improvement in the observation group was more ob-vious than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the control group and the observation group were 80.00%and 97.50%,respectively,and the total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The meridian pricking blood cupping combined with acupuncture is effec-tive in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation with pain and can significantly improve the symptoms of lumbar and leg pain,raise the quality of life of patients,which is worthy of further promotion and application.
