Clinical Observation of Knee Joint Swelling Relief Prescription for Knee Osteoarthritis with Damp-Heat Impediment Type
Objective:To study the clinical effect of Knee Joint Swelling Relief Prescription in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis(KO A)with damp-heat impediment type. Methods:Sixty patients with early-stage KOA were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,30 cases each group. The treatment group received oral administration of Knee Joint Swelling Relief Prescription and the control group was given oral glucosamine hydrochlo-ride tablets. After four weeks of treatment, the clinical effect,TCM symptom scores, evaluation metrics(WOMAC and VAS scores),and changes in peripheral blood serum levels of IL-6,TNF-α,and hs-CRP before and after treat-ment were observed and compared between the groups. Results:The total effective rate was 93.33%in the treatment group compared to 76.67%in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Both groups showed significant improvements in TCM symptom scores,WOMAC,and VAS scores after treatment(P<0.05),with greater improvements observed in the treatment group(P<0.05).Serum levels of inflammatory markers IL-6,TNF-α,and hs-CRP were significantly reduced after treatment in both groups(P<0.05),with more pronounced reduc-tions in the treatment group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The Knee Joint Swelling Relief Prescription demonstrates signifi-cant therapeutic effects in the treatment of KOA patients with damp-heat impediment type, and effectively reduces in-flammation,improves TCM symptom scores, and enhances patients'quality of life, which offers a promising treatment for knee osteoarthritis with damp-heat impediment.
