Objective:To study the clinical effect of the"Liver Regulation and Spirit Adjustment with Heart and Gallbladder Treatment"acupuncture method for post-stroke insomnia.Methods:Sixty patients with post-stroke in-somnia were randomly divided into a treatment group(30 cases)and a control group(30 cases).The control group re-ceived conventional western medical treatment while the treatment group underwent the"Liver Regulation and Spirit Adjustment with Heart and Gallbladder Treatmen"acupuncture method.The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Athens Insomnia Scale(AIS),and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS)scores of the two groups were com-pared before treatment,after treatment,and at a one-month follow-up.Clinical effect outcomes were also com-pared.Results:PSQI,AIS,and HADS scores were significantly reduced in both groups after treatment and at the one-month follow-up compared to baseline(P＜0.05).The reductions were more pronounced in the treatment group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The"Liver Regulation and Spirit Adjustment with Heart and Gallbladder Treatment"acupuncture method significantly improves sleep quality in patients with post-stroke insomnia.
