The Effect of Qiteng Tongbi Formula Fumigation and Washing Combined with Mecobalamin on Oxidative Stress Response and Nerve Conduction Velocity in DNP Patients
Objective To explore the effect of qiteng tongbi formula fumigation and washing combined with mecobalamin on oxidative stress reaction and nerve conduction velocity in patients with diabetes peripheral neuropathy(DNP).Methods 76 patients with DNP admitted to Pingxiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from June 2021 to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 38 patients in each group. Both group were treated with mecobalamin, while the experimental group was treated with qiteng tongbi formula fumigation and washing. After 14 days, the efficacy, oxidative stress response, and nerve conduction velocity of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the experimental group(92.11%)was higher than that of the control group(71.05%),with a statistical difference(P<0.05).After treatment, the motor nerve conduction velocity and sensory nerve conduction velocity of the common peroneal nerve and tibial nerve in both groups increased, and the nerve conduction velocities in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, with statistical differences(P<0.05);both groups showed an increase in total antioxidant capacity and superoxide dismutase, while a decrease in malondialdehyde. Moreover, the experimental group had better oxidative stress indicators than the control group, with statistical differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of qiteng tongbi formula fumigation and washing combined with mecobalamin has a definite therapeutic effect on DNP,which can reduce oxidative stress damage and increase nerve conduction velocity.
