Effect of Ziprasidone Therapy on Psychotic Symptoms in Schizophrenic Patients
Objective To investigate the effect of ziprasidone therapy on psychiatric symptoms in patients with schizophrenia(SCH).Methods A total of 89 SCH patients from April 2022 to March 2023 were selected and divided into control group(45 cases)and study group(44 cases)according to random number table method. The control group was treated with olanzapine, and the study group was treated with ziprasidone based on olanzapine. The treatment effect, psychiatric symptoms(PANSS),cognitive function[Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale(MoCA)]and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,PANSS score in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and MoCA score was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),there was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Ziprasidone is effective in the treatment of SCH patients, which can improve mental symptoms and cognitive function with good safety.
