Effect of External Application of Rhubarb and Mirabilite Combined with Warm Acupuncture on the Recovery after Laparoscopic Appendectomy
Objective To investigate the effects of external application of rhubarb and mirabilite combined with warm acupuncture on the recovery of gastrointestinal function, the degree of abdominal distension, and the effects of motilin(MTL)and gastrin(GAS)in patients after laparoscopic appendectomy. Methods 100 cases of laparoscopic appendectomy patients were selected from Yichun Zhejiang Jiangxi Friendship Hospital from December 2021 to January 2023,and the clinical data were retrospectively analyzed, among which 50 cases were given conventional treatment after operation as the control group, the other 50 cases were given external application of rhubarb and mirabilite combined with warm acupuncture on the basis of the control group as the observation group. The two groups were compared in terms of gastrointestinal function recovery indexes, degree of abdominal distension,MTL,GAS and complication rate. Results After treatment, the recovery time of bowel sounds, the time of first gas evacuation and the time of first defecation of the observation group were shorter than that of the control group, the degree of abdominal distension of the observation group was lighter than that of the control group, and the levels of serum MTL and GAS of the observation group were higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total complication rate of the observation group(6.00%)was lower than that of the control group(20.00%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion External application of rhubarb and mirabilite combined with warm acupuncture can effectively improve gastrointestinal peristalsis after laparoscopic appendectomy, promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, reduce the degree of abdominal distension, and decrease the incidence of complications.
