Effect of Tanreqing Injection Combined with Meropenem for Injection on Symptom Disappearance Time and Serum Inflammatory Factor Level in Patients with Severe Pneumonia
Objective To investigate the effect of tanreqing injection combined with meropenem for injection on the time of symptom disappearance and serum inflammatory factor levels in patients with severe pneumonia(SP).Methods Eighty-one cases of SP patients treated at The Second Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected as study subjects,and were divided into treatment group(n=40)and control group(n=41)by randomized numerical method.The control group was treated with meropenem for injection,and on this basis,the treatment group was treated with tanreqing injection,comparing the treatment effect,symptom disappearance time,serum inflammatory factors[interleukin-8,tumor necrosis factor-alpha,interleukin-6],and immune function of the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the treatment group(92.50%)was higher than that of the control group(75.61%),and there was a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After treatment,compared with the control group,the disappearance time of lung rales,fever and cough was shorter in the treatment group,and there was a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);the serum inflammatory factor level and CD8+of both groups decreased,and CD4+,CD4+/CD8+increased,and the above indexes of the treatment group were significantly better than those of the control group,with statistical differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Tanreqing injection combined with meropenem for injection can reduce the inflammatory response of patients,improve immune function,accelerate the relief of symptoms,and improve the clinical efficacy.
