Effect of Gubenkechuan Granules Combined with Conventional Western Medicine in Asthma-chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Overlap Syndrome and Its Effect on Airway Remodeling and Endothelial Cell Function
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of gubenkechuan granules combined with conventional western medicine in asthma-chronic obstructive pulmonary disease overlap syndrome(ACOS)and its effect on airway remodeling and endothelial cell function. Methods Ninety ACOS were randomly divided 2 groups. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine, and on this basis, the combined group was added gubenkechuan granules. The chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, and respiratory distress symptoms, clinical efficacy, lung function, airway remodeling, endothelial cell function and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, and respiratory distress were alleviated in both groups(P<0.05),of which the combined group were milder(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the combined group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, lung function, airway remodeling and endothelial cell function improved in both groups(P<0.05),of which the combined group showed better results(P<0.05).The two groups had basically consistent adverse reactions(P>0.05).Conclusion Gubenkechuan granules combined with conventional western medicine in the treatment of ACOS can alleviate chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, and respiratory distress symptoms, improve the curative effect, improve lung function, airway remodeling and endothelial cell function, without significantly increasing adverse reactions.
