The Effect of Salbutamol Combined with Budesonide Nebulized Inhalation Therapy on Symptom Relief Time and Airway Inflammation Response in Children with Bronchiolitis
Objective To explore the clinical effect of salbutamol combined with budesonide nebulized inhalation therapy on children with bronchiolitis. Methods 86 pediatric patients with bronchitis treated in Linchuan District People's Hospital between January 2022 to July 2023 were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method. Both groups of children were given general treatments such as controlling wheezing, monitoring the condition, oxygen supply, fluid replacement, and respiratory support. The control group(43 cases)received budesonide suspension for inhalation, while the observation group(43 cases)received budesonide suspension for inhalation and salbutamol sulfate solution for inhalation.Comparison of clinical symptom relief time, airway inflammation response, lung function, and adverse reactions between two groups of pediatric patients. Results The clinical symptom relief time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),monocyte chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1),and procalcitonin(PCT)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);the observation group had forced vital capacity(FVC),first second forced expiratory volume(FEV1),γ-interferon level and peak expiratory flow rate(PEF)were higher in the intervention group than in the control group(P<0.05).Both groups only experienced mild adverse reactions, and there was no difference between the groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of salbutamol and budesonide nebulized inhalation in the treatment of pediatric bronchitis can improve lung function, reduce airway inflammation, effectively shorten the time for clinical symptom relief, and have a lower incidence of adverse reactions.
