Clinical Efficacy and Related Mechanisms of Xuebijing Injection in the Treatment of Post Chemoembolization Syndrome in Advanced Liver Cancer
Objective To explore the effect of xuebijing injection on post chemoembolization syndrome(PES)in advanced liver cancer. Methods 90 patients with advanced liver cancer treated with PES in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from June 2022 to June 2023 were randomly divided into two groups, with 45 cases in each group. Both groups underwent hepatic artery chemoembolization surgery(TACE),while the control group received symptomatic internal medicine treatment;based on this, the observation group was additionally treated with xuebijing injection.Compare the duration of symptoms, liver function, and inflammatory indicators between two groups. Results The duration of fever, nausea and vomiting, liver pain, and diarrhea in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05);the levels of alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),and total bilirubin(TBIL)in both groups increased 5 days after surgery, but the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05);the levels of white blood cell count(WBC),procalcitonin(PCT),C-reactive protein(CRP),and neutrophil percentage increased in both groups 5 days after surgery, but the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of xuebijing injection in PES for middle to late stage liver cancer can alleviate liver damage, inhibit the expression of inflammatory factors, and promote patient recovery.
