Objective To explore the effect of clinical pharmacists'intervention on the intensity and utilization rate of pediatric antibiotics. Methods This study collected the utilization rate and intensity of antibiotics in pediatric inpatients in Qianxinan People's Hospital from January to December 2021(before intervention)and from January to December 2022(after intervention),and compared the data before and after intervention. Results The utilization rate of antibiotics after intervention was(51.66±2.95)%,which was lower than before intervention(57.01±2.64)%,the difference was significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the intensity of antibacterial drug use(15.63±1.87)DDDs was lower than that before intervention(18.25±1.73)DDDs,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The incidence of unreasonable prescription of pediatric antibiotics after clinical pharmacist intervention was 3.83%,lower than 2.00%before intervention(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions to antibiotics after intervention was 0.47%,lower than 0.84%before intervention(P<0.05).After the intervention, the satisfaction of the family members of the affected children with pharmaceutical work was 96.39%,higher than 89.17%before the intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion Clinical pharmacist intervention can improve the level of rational use of pediatric antibiotics, reduce the intensity and utilization rate of drug use, reduce the occurrence of adverse drug reactions, and better ensure the drug safety of children.
