Effect of Bakri Uterine Tamponade Balloon Combined with Carbetocin on Blood Loss and Ovarian Function in Patients with Uterine Atony Postpartum Hemorrhage
Objective To investigate the effect of Bakri uterine tamponade balloon combined with carbetocin on patients with uterine atony postpartum hemorrhage. Methods 80 patients with postpartum hemorrhage treated in The Third People's Hospital of Jingdezhen from January 2022 to December 2023 were divided into two groups. The control group (n=40 cases) was treated with carbetocin, and the observation group (n=40 cases) was treated with Bakri uterine tamponade balloon based on the control group. The onset time of hemostasis, physical signs, coagulation function, stress index, ovarian function, and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared. Results After 2 h and 24 h of treatment,The observation group had less bleeding volume than the control group, the onset time of hemostasis was shorter than that of the control group (P<0.05);there was no difference in the physical signs between the two groups (P>0.05);the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT),estradiol (E2),prothrombin time (PT) levels were higher than the control group, the levels of epinephrine (E),fibrinogen (FIB),angiotensin,D-dimer (D-D),noradrenaline (NE),luteizing hormone (LH),and folliculogenic hormone (FSH) were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05);the incidence of adverse effects was comparable in the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Bakri uterine tamponade balloon combined with carbetocin has a remarkable effect, which can shorten the onset time of hemostasis, improve coagulation function, reduce the body stress response, and is conducive to improving the ovarian function of patients, with high safety.
