Cotton dyeing with high-energy Reactive Navy H-ER dye is carried out. Difference between traditional two step dyeing process and one-bath-one-step process is compared. The optimum one-bath-one-step process conditions are determined via orthogonal experiments as follows: sodium chloride 80 g/L, sodium carbonate 20 g/L, dyeing at 80℃ for 65 minutes. The dyeings of one-bath-one-step process feature equivalent evenness and color fastness, higher K/S values and deeper shade , simpler operations, shorter dyeing time and lower labor cost than those of traditional process.
