Dyeing of flame-retardant and conventional polyester fibers are carried out with Disperse Yellow E-TD, Red 3B and Blue 2BLN.Influences of dyeing temperature, time, pH value and dosage of dyes on K/S value of the dyeings are studied. The results show that the flame-retardant polyester fiber can be dyed at 98 ℃ with low energy disperse dyes. The effect of pH value on K/S value of flame-retardant polyester fiber is similar to that on conventional polyester fiber. The dyeing rate of flame-retardant polyester fiber increases quickly when the dyeing temperature reaches 75 ℃ ,so the heating-up rate should be controlled strictly. The building-up performance of polyester dyeings is in close relationship with the structure of dyes. The fastness of flame-retardant polyester dyeings is similar to that of conventional polyester dyeings.
