One-step preparation of biomass water-repellent anti-UV pigment based on combination of expired cow milk and natural colorant
A one-step method is carried out for preparing a biobased waterproof and UV-resistant pigment by mixing expired milk with natural pigments, utilizing the complex denaturation of proteins and chemical coupling effects. With the aid of a simple spraying process, pigment particle coatings that possess both waterproof and UV-resistant functions can be rapidly formed on various substrates such as cotton woven fabrics, ramie fab-rics,silk,non-woven fabrics, and cardboard,therefore,high-value utilization of discarded expired milk can be realized. It features a simple process, low cost and environmental friendliness. It holds significant application potential in fields such as textile printing and dyeing, fine chemicals, and construction.
