Influence of structural parameters on the dyeing behaviors of nylon four-sided elastic fabrics
To investigate the effect of the structure of nylon four-sided elastic fabric on the dyeing behaviors,Acid Yellow GL and Acid Black 172 dyes with different structures are selected to dye three types of fabric with different fineness and fabric weight. The results show that the crystallinity of the fabric increases with the in-crease of fineness and fabric weight, which limits the penetration of dye molecules into the fiber, resulting in the decrease of the dye-uptake of the two dyes, and the increase of the migration rate.Additionally, the fabric shows deepened color and decreased saturation. The three fabrics exhibit excellent degree of penetration.Fab-rics with lower fineness have lower crystallinity and larger specific surface area, providing abundant adsorption sites for dyes, resulting in color fastnesses to water and soaping of Grade 4-5,and show better dyeing proper-ties than fabrics with higher fineness and fabric weight.
