The English translation The Three-Body Problem of Liu Cixin's science fiction San Ti has gained recognition of the English-speaking world.By analyzing The Three-body Problem,the English version translated by Liu Ken from the perspective of the translation process,translation form and global reception,the study attempts to explore how contemporary Chinese science fiction can be understood and interpreted in a new cultural space.It is demonstrated that the combined efforts of patrons and translators serve as an important cornerstone in the process of overseas communication of Chinese science fiction.And presenting distinctive cultural imprints with regional and national characteristics in an acceptable way is conducive to introducing the aesthetics of Chinese literature to targeted readers.Lastly,library collection data,media coverage and readers'comments are important indicators in judging the level of reader acceptance and intercultural communication.The study provides new insights into and some references for the foreign translation and overseas communication of Chinese contemporary literature and culture.
