Looking Forward to a New Western Film:History,Reality,and"Space Production"
In the history of Chinese cinema in the new era,although the glory of Western cinema centered around Xi'an Film Studio has become history,in the current context of the Internet and the growing demand for"imaginative consumption",we should rethink the development strategy of New Western cinema,reconstruct it,and promote the development of Western cinema industry and theoretical criticism.The article uses the category of"spatial produc-tion"to reinterpret and recognize the connotation and extension,significance and value of Western cinema,and pro-poses strategies for moving towards the new and larger Western cinema.The creation of Western films should engage in both historical and contemporary dialogue;It should not only connect with the reality of the earth,but also tran-scend reality and be inclusive.Only by implementing the modern transformation of multicultural traditions can we move towards the diversity and prosperity of cultural development.
