Study on Images of Chariots and Horses in Eastern Zhou Dynasty Bronzes
This paper reflects on the study of chariot and horse images on bronzes of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty,and discusses the potential influence of institutional factors,image traditions of bronzes and image making concepts on chariot and horse images in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty through re-analysis of image elements,thus revising the deter-ministic tendency of foreign cultural factors in the innovation of chariot and horse images in previous studies.The arti-cle also cites the latest archaeological materials and research results,and re-examines the Eastern Zhou Dynasty bronze chariot images in a new structural relationship,showing the complex relationship between the Eastern Zhou Dy-nasty multi-cultural context and the evolution of images.
