The Performance Characteristics and Practical Direction of the Concept of"Super Flat"in Contemporary Architectural Space Form
Under the background of the current information age,multi-culture coexists, and architectural trends tend to be diversified. The concept of"super flat"has had an important impact on contemporary architecture, especially on Japanese architectural practice."Super flat"is an architectural philosophy that transforms the aesthetic thought of two dimensions into three dimensions. It is an active exploration of the relationship between nationality and modernity in contemporary Japanese architecture. Its characteristics of"no depth,no center, and no three-dimensional"promote the spatial expansion of the building. This paper attempts to analyze the contemporary architectural activities under the influence of the concept of"super flat"from the perspective of spatial performance characteristics, which are presen-ted in many aspects such as"external form weakening, internal organization homogenization, boundary disappearing, skin protruding, space penetration".On this basis, architectural design activities should start from the aspects of vis-ual thinking and three-dimensional composition of space,so as to realize the more extensive exploration and applica-tion of"super flat"thought to contemporary architecture.
