Optimizing International Tourism Competitiveness in the TTDI Framework
In recent times,both domestic and international tourism industries have been experiencing a slug-gish growth,and enhancing international tourism competitiveness has become an urgent issue for tourism de-velopment in China.This study aims to analyze the impact factors and pathways to achieve national tourism competitiveness,based on the framework of the 2021 Tourism and Travel Development Index(TTDI)and a-dopting a configurational perspective.By breaking away from traditional causal relationships,the research findings are as follows:Infrastructure is a necessary condition for improving international tourism competitive-ness.Enabling environment and demand drivers are important core conditions that influence international competitiveness.International tourism competitiveness can be improved through a combination of infrastruc-ture and sustainability as dual drivers,and enabling environment and demand drivers as parallel drivers,along with the integration of multiple factors.This study provides feasible directions for enhancing China's interna-tional tourism competitiveness.
