On the Four Valid Formulas of Three Part Syllogism of New-Hetuvidya
The study of the logic properties of three part syllogism of New-Hetuvidya is one of the core issues in the study of Hetuvidya.At present,there are two types of representative views:the three part syllogism is completely different from the syllogism,the three part syllogism is equivalent to the AAA form of the syllo-gism,the three part syllogism can be converted into the AAA form of the syllogism,and the three part syllo-gism is essentially a sufficient conditional hypothesis reasoning.The above views have their own strengths and weaknesses,but they all make the mistake of over-generalization.There are four kinds of valid formulae:pe-ripheral syllogism,formal implication negation,positive antecedent of sufficient conditional hypothetical rea-soning after universal quantifier elimination and negative postulate of sufficient conditional hypothetical rea-soning after universal quantifier elimination.
