The translation of Chinese literature into foreign languages is a crucial element in shaping China's national image, and the translator's work is essential to the dissemination and reception of Chinese literature abroad. French Sinologist and translator Noёl Dutrait has made remarkable contributions to the French transla-tion and global dissemination of contemporary Chinese literature, particularly works by Mo Yan,Su Tong,A Cheng and Han Shaogong. It further investigates how the successful dissemination of his translations abroad provides insights for the construction of China's image o-verseas,thereby offering valuable references for the global outreach of Chinese stories.
