Advances in Morphological and Hematological Characteristics of Different Types of CNV
Choroidal neovascularization(CNV)refers to the formation of new blood vessels stemming from the choroidal layer,a phenomenon commonly observed in conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, myopic CNV,and polypoid choroidal vasculopathy. These abnormal vessels contribute significantly to visual impairment.Variations exist in the morphology and blood perfusion characteristics of different types of CNV,including differences in neovascular shape, blood flow patterns, and the extent of avascular zones in the macular fovea.Understanding these variations across different layers is crucial for clinicians to accurately diagnose, classify, and develop treatment plans using ophthalmic imaging. This article provides a comprehensive review of the morphological and hematological characteristics of various CNV types.
