Research Progress on Flotation Depression of Typical Magnesium Silicate Gangue Minerals
Serpentine, talc and chlorite are typical layered magnesium silicate minerals, which usually occur in sulfide ores in a combined manner. In the flotation process of sulfide ore, serpentine, talc and chlorite are easy to enter the sulfide concentrate and deteriorate the flotation environment, resulting in low concentrate quality and low recovery, and it is often difficult to achieve efficient separation from sulfide ore.At present, for such silicate gangue minerals, how to use suitable beneficiation reagents for efficient selective inhibition is still a hot and difficult point in the field of flotation research. The relationship between the crystal chemical characteristics and the floating performance of serpentine, talc and chlorite is analyzed. The surface of serpentine is positively charged and can be floated by anionic collector.Talcum is a molecular crystal with good natural floatability.Fatty acid and amine collectors are commonly used for flotation. The natural floatability of chlorite is second only to talc, which can be floated by anion and cation collectors. At the same time, the research status of inorganic, organic, new and combined inhibitors is reviewed.Inorganic inhibitors have been successfully applied in industrial production. The synthesis and application of new organic inhibitors are the focus and hotspot of future research. The research on the synergistic inhibition mechanism of combined inhibitors needs to be strengthened. This paper also expounds the action principle and application of various reagents, points out the direction for the screening and synthesis of new, efficient and green inhibitors, provides a reference for the combined use of inhibitors, and provides technical support for the efficient flotation recovery of sulfide ore.
