Boundaries and Sharing:An Study of Food Culture Based on the Multi-ethnic Society of Lintan
Food as a typical cultural phenomenon permeates different aspects of society and culture.Lintan has always been a place of multi-ethnic convergence, and the diet of each ethnic group has become the most highlighted cultural reproduction, closely related to its location of settlement and distribution, the migration of the population and the history of external contact.Under such circumstances, diet is often the main medium for expressing social collectivity and conveying group consciousness, and people's choice of diet subconsciously recognizes the differences in ethnic cultures. The long-term interactions between ethnic groups have resulted in the formation of a more dynamic and inclusive diet in Lintan. At the same time, while the dietary taboos of each ethnic group regulate and reinforce the boundaries between different groups of people, the sharing of diets also illustrates the phenomenon of cultural intermingling.
