A Study on the Social Life History of the Flow of Bai Silverware
Under the influence of tourism,this study examines the social life history changes in the production,sales,and consumption of Bai silverware in Xinhua Village,Dali.The silverware from Xinhua Village in Dali has moved from the southwestern ethnic regions to the mainstream consumer market,presenting multiple functions and diversified meanings at different stages of its life cycle.In the production field,silverware serves as a symbol of ethnic decoration and craftsmanship for the Bai people;in the sales field,it is labeled with commercialized symbols of different ethnic groups,undergoing a commodification transformation of ethnic codes;in the consumption field,it exhibits diversified meanings for consumers of different identities.
