Intertextuality and Acculturation:The Dynamic Changes of Miscellaneous Dances in the Han Dynasty and Their Theoretical Explanation
The existence of a ceremonial context endows the lower layers of miscellaneous dances with traces of sacrificial music and dance,thus adding to them a strong mysterious flavour.Early miscellaneous dances derived from the tradition of ancient military music and ceremonial dances,and thus bore diverse characteristics.The rise of miscellaneous dances from folk events to palace banquets shows that the creation and simulation of literati culture influenced the performance and interaction of miscellaneous dances.The integration and symbiosis of the Hu dance and miscellaneous dances is also a force that cannot be underestimated;this method of acculturation is not only a continuation of the historical intertextual tradition of miscellaneous dances,but also bears witness to the interaction between the common people and the court in a political context.
