The Origin of Chinese Art and the Brilliance of Civilisation
Ancient Chinese astronomy constructed the Chinese cosmological view and the ritual system,from which art originated amidst the brilliance of civilisation.Based on the scientific cognition and understanding of the laws of the universe,the establishment of the ritual system in ancient human society,namely,the establishment of the cosmological view,marks the emergence of civilisation.This also determined the origin of Chinese art,that is to say,art forms that rooted in ancient Chinese astronomy.Chinese archaeology actually defines the material from of civilisations finding and studying such material evidence as rock paintings,pottery,inscriptions(written language),jade,patterns,and pottery and stone figurines—all of which constitute material historical evidence of the emergence of Chinese civilisation.The concept of the common origin of painting and calligraphy proves that painting and writing are two branches sharing the same origin,both rooted in the ancient Chinese people's understanding and application of the laws of the universe.Subsequently,the Chinese art view still reflects the cosmological or spatiotemporal view established in ancient times.
