Development of the Learning Perseverance Questionnaire for College Students
In order to develop a questionnaire suitable for measuring the quality of college students'perseverance in learning and to test its reliability and validity,a theoretical model of college students'learning perseverance was constructed based on literature a-nalysis and expert interviews,and an initial questionnaire of learning perseverance suitable for Chinese college students was developed.A convenience sample of 479 college students was tested,and item analysis and reliability tests were conducted.The questionnaire con-sisted of 10 items,including two factors of goal and effort.The two-factor model fit well for each.The reliability of the total question-naire and the two factors of goal and effort were 0.908,0.847 and 0.870 respectively.The total questionnaire was significantly correla-ted with the two school scales of perseverance scale(r=0.541)and tenacity scale(r=0.688).The perseverance scale for college students includes two factors of goal and effort,and the questionnaire has good reliability and validity,which can be used to measure the quality of college students'perseverance in learning.
