Seapower theory is an important geopolitical school of thought in international relations theory.Following Mahan's theory of"Sea Power"and Lehman's theory of Command of the Seas,the US seapower theory has undergone a new round of development and evolution in the post-Cold War era with naval strategic transformation as the core.The cooperation strate-gy for seapower is an important part of the US seapower theory during this period.The US Navy issued two versions of the"A Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Seapower"in 2007 and 2015 respectively.Since Biden took office,the United States began to promote the coop-eration strategy for seapower at the practical level.AUKUS established in 2021 is an impor-tant attempt,which provides a practical case for the US seapower cooperation strategy and al-so poses a serious threat to China's maritime security.China must take effective countermeas-ures to hedge and minimize the damage to China's national interests caused by AUKUS.
